GenStone Siding Products
Building siding can transform the appearance, durability, and maintenance to your building. When you’re in the market for a building, there are several criteria to consider. It’s important that your building be sturdy, well-constructed, and affordable. In many cases, the building’s appearance is just as important as its value and durability. At Capital Steel Industries, our authorized dealers supply buildings that more than measure up to all these requirements.
For an attractive exterior that adds to your building’s appeal, we also offer GenStone custom exteriors. GenStone offers high quality affordable simulated brick, stone, and rock siding.
What is GenStone?
GenStone is lightweight, technologically advanced polyurethane that simulates the appearance of stone, rock, or brick. The molds used to form GenStone are crafted from natural materials to give the panels an authentic appearance. GenStone panels faithfully reproduce the texture and character of the materials they emulate, from smooth stone to rough-hewn rock. Brick, stone, and rock panels feature hand-painted highlights for maximum realism.
GenStone offers a complete line of accessories for your project, including trim pieces for windows and doors, corner pieces, ledgers for windowsills and wainscoting, and color-matched grout. GenStone panels are even available as corner pieces, which makes the construction of corners and columns simple and effortless.
GenStone panels can be tailored to meet your specific requirements and your budget. GenStone can provide total coverage of your building’s exterior walls, transforming them completely with the look of brick, stone, or rock. In some designs, spot coverage is the best choice. For example, GenStone might be used to enhance a building’s entryway. GenStone can also add appeal as trim or an accent to doors, windows, foundations and wainscoting.
GenStone is an excellent choice for all types of projects, residential or commercial, and is well-suited to new construction or remodeling. GenStone can be applied to a wide variety of surfaces, including steel, wood or concrete.
Beyond appearance and cost savings, GenStone panels are low-maintenance, weather-resistant, and feature a 25-year warranty. Replacement is a breeze, which is not always the case with natural materials. Stone and rock are often limited in supply, and you may find that the original material no longer exists or is not the right color. In the unlikely event that your GenStone panels are damaged, a panel can easily be ordered in an exact replica. GenStone panels also feature offset ends, for joints that are practically invisible, and shiplap edges that provide an interlocking connection to the next panel without the need for mortar.
Building appearance important?
Like many other things in life, first impressions count. If you’re constructing a new church, barn, garage, or riding arena, it’s important to have your new steel building blend in with its environment and be pleasing to the community. If you’re launching or expanding a business, you’ll want to impress clients and employees with a professional, attractive building that upholds your image. In some cases, local zoning regulations or homeowners’ associations will dictate certain aspects of your building’s design.
You may even find that the appearance of your building impacts its resale value. For these reasons, and many others, we strongly recommend the addition of GenStone custom exteriors.
GenStone panels are precut into lightweight, manageable lengths that apply easily to any dry, stable surface with screws and adhesive. No special skill or training is required, and there’s no need to hire a bricklayer or stone mason.
Full-size and half-size panels are available. Each full-size panel covers approximately seven square feet, which accelerates progress and cuts labor expenses. In many cases, a significant sum of money can be saved by using GenStone.
